“I study my identity through the place where I live. For me, Kiryat Yam represents home and family but also loneliness and social distance. I photograph the place as I see it, using the environment and landscape as the framing of life. Most of my artworks address things that happened and that still happen and influence my life: from the neighborhood vibe to the treatment I receive as a black person in a white space.”
